Maree Mills gained an MFA from RMIT University in Melbourne, was a lecturer at Waikato University for 7 years, Director at Hastings City Art Gallery for five years and is currently a Principal Policy Analyst at Auckland Council, writing and project leading Auckland's Arts and Culture Strategic Action Plan (ACSAP). Maree’s personal art focus is on contemporary Maori art, digital arts, multimedia, collaborative research and practice.
Bill Milbank is the former director of the Sargeant Gallery in Whanganui and currently runs the WH Milbank Gallery in Whanganui, offering services as art dealer, exhibition curator, appraiser and valuer.
Bill has served on many national boards, including New Zealand Art Gallery Directors' Guild and the Art Galleries and Museum Association. He has been a Government appointee to the Cultural Conservation Advisory Council and to the professional advisory committee responsible for the planning of Te Papa. In 2005 Bill gained a Queens Service medal for ‘28 years of exemplary service to Whanganui and the arts in New Zealand in his role as director of the Sarjeant Gallery.
